台灣的 FSA 截至 2013/7/26 止

全世界最權威的四大精算師認證機構：
美國、加拿大、英國、澳洲

美國精算師協會 = Society of Actuary
正精算師 = Fellow of Society of Actuary (FSA)
台灣截至 2013/7/26 為止共有104位。但這不包括其他國家的 Fellow (精算師).

留學美國人數

美國高等教育研究委員會統計，申請2012年度春季班赴美國留學外國學生前五名，依次為中國、印度、南韓、加拿大及台灣。

依申請學生就讀的類科來看，26%讀工程學系、20%讀物理及地球科學、17%申請商業學科、13%申請生命科學，8%申請社會科學。據統計，目前約有72萬外國學生在美國留學，每年對美國帶來約176億美元的經濟效益。

台灣的保險市場

Chartis Taiwan Insurance Co chairman Mark Wei (魏寶生) resigned 3/9/2010, Leslie Mouat 接手。
underwriting profits topping NT$15 million (US$471,500) for first 2 months of 2010, gross premium return of NT$79.6 million.

Chartis Taiwan general manager Jason Tsai (蔡漢凌) said that amid fierce competition in the local insurance market, the company was planning to offer customized property insurance solutions for customers with large assets in the second or third quarter.The new insurance coverage will be extended to properties such as personal jets, red wine, works of art and personal collections.”
