cut one some slack: = go easy on someone = 不對某人這麼嚴格
Ex: Since you're new here, I'll cut you some slack. But I expect you to know most of it by the end of this week.

他很強喔，不要讓他。He's good, don't go easy on him.

roll with the punches: to absorb the force of a blow, as in boxing.
Ex: If the ref doesn't call a foul, you gotta play on and just roll with the punches.

fall by the wayside: 被人移忘了，(事情) 後來就沒去做了或沒人理了

Ex: I know if I don't do it now, it'll probably end up falling by the wayside.
